Inner Circle — Privacy Policy

Inner Circle (“the app”) helps you keep track of how recently you’ve been in
touch with the people who matter to you. This policy explains what the app
does with your information.
Short version: your data stays on your device. We do not collect it, sell
it, or share it.
- Contacts. If you choose to import people from your contacts, the app
reads names, birthdays, companies, and photos for the contacts you select.
This is copied into the app’s local storage on your device.
- Calendar. If you allow calendar access, the app scans your calendar on
your device to work out when you last saw someone, and updates your
records. Calendar contents are not stored beyond what the app needs for
this and are never transmitted off your device.
- Location and zip codes. If you allow location access, the app uses your
approximate location once, on your device, to suggest nearby activities when
a friend’s zip code isn’t set. When a zip code is set, the app converts it
to map coordinates using your device’s built-in geocoding service, which is
provided by Apple. Your location and zip codes are not stored on, or sent
to, any server operated by the app.
- Content you enter. Notes, interaction logs, hobby tags, and settings you
create are stored locally on your device.
- Notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push
notification service or server is involved.
What we do not do
- We do not operate a server that receives your data.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
- We do not create accounts.
Third-party links
Activity suggestions can open a map search in Apple Maps or Google Maps. When
you tap one, that app receives the search text, and its own privacy policy
applies.
Your control
You can revoke Contacts, Calendar, Location, or Notifications access at any
time in iOS Settings. You can export or delete your data from the app’s
Settings screen, and deleting the app removes all locally stored data.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect
information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address
with a new “last updated” date.
